Jiahui Cardiac Implantable Electrical Device (CIED) Clinic provides professional care for the patients with implanted rhythm-management devices. These devices include pacemakers to prevent slow heart rates; defibrillators to treat rapid life-threatening rhythm disturbances; and implanted loop recorders, which record heart rhythm irregularities, etc.
Provide programming service for devices like pacemakers for optimization and better durability.
Provide ongoing follow-up of the device.
Provide patient and family education about the device.
Look after aspects of patients’ health associated with their device.Jiahui Cardiac Implantable Electrical Device (CIED) Clinic opens each Wednesday afternoon and provides services by appointment only. Patients for the first visit need to carry their surgery report, discharge notes, CIED identification card, and other related medical information as required.
